Contact Your Rep
Accountability does not function without engaged citizens who are paying attention, asking questions, and insisting on answers. Find the people who represent you — at every level — and tell them what you think.
Tips for Reaching Your Representative
- Say who you are. Give your name and that you're a constituent, with your town or ZIP code.
- Be specific. Name the bill, vote, or issue, and say what you'd like them to do.
- Keep it short and respectful. A clear two-minute call or a few paragraphs is enough.
- Follow up. Ask for a response, and check how they voted.
